Assistant Sotre Manager

Location: Goodwill, Aston, PA

Pay Rate: $18.00 an hour

POSITION PURPOSE:

The Assistant Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of all store activities including but not limited to safety and environmental compliance, sales, production, maximum customer service and satisfaction. In the absence of the Store Manager the Assistant Manager assumes responsibility for the assigned location or locations. The position is responsible for the maximum security and protection of company assets. This position is a member of the Management Support Team.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:
  1. Follow safety policies and procedures ensuring maximum security and protection of all customers and company assets.
  2. Responsible for all day-to-day operations of the store.
  3. Achieve meeting and exceeding all external safety compliance regulations with zero OSHA recordable incidents.
  4. Achieve 100% or higher of weekly transaction value goal.
  5. Achieve 100% or more of weekly revenue goal.
  6. Achieve 100% or more of weekly Softline and Hardline production goals.
  7. Responsible for completing medical and non-medical incident reports within 24 hours.
  8. Achieve satisfactory store audits of 90% or higher.
  9. Maintain 32% or less of wage to revenue ratio goals.
  10. Proactively interview and assist in maintaining staffing levels no less than 90% of established goals.
  11. Advise Store Manager of progress, problems, and new developments on a regular basis.
  12. Assist with all POS functions and transactions including sales, refunds, audits, voids, correct pricing, inventory control, and responding to customers. Also responsible for register cash fund including deposits, store change fund, counts petty cash, and accounting for overages and shortages. Ensures necessary record keeping, daily reports, and reporting of money, sales, donations, and production.
  13. Effectively use technology to communicate and perform job duties (i.e. scheduling tools).
  14. Follow, enforce, and effectively communicate company policy and procedures to supervised personnel.
  15. Assist with training of new team members in their functional areas (i.e. production and/or cashiering).
  16. Ability to work varied hours and days as the business dictates.
  17. All other job duties as assigned (i.e. attending meetings, training).

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE :

Associate’s degree in industry, business, operations/logistics or sales and/or 1-3 plus years in industry related experience. Must have extensive experience and the ability to effectively execute supervisory tasks. Must have a valid driver’s license. Ability to be a self starter with excellent oral and written communication skills along with extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications knowledge is required. Must be able to work independently, exercising judgment and initiative with minimal supervision.
