Job Title: Associate Tax Consultant

Job Summary: The Associate Tax Consultant provides support in tax planning, compliance, and advisory services for clients. This role involves assisting with tax return preparation, researching tax laws, and identifying opportunities for tax optimization. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of tax regulations and a keen eye for detail, working closely with senior consultants to deliver high-quality tax solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing and reviewing federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses.
• Conduct research on tax issues and provide recommendations based on current laws and regulations.
• Help identify tax-saving strategies and assist clients in optimizing their tax position.
• Assist with tax audits, resolving tax discrepancies, and responding to tax authorities.
• Stay updated on changing tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
• Prepare reports and documentation for senior consultants and client presentations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in tax preparation or tax consulting.
• Familiarity with tax software (e.g., TurboTax, Lacerte, or similar tools).
• Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax regulations.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• CPA or CPA candidate preferred.

Compensation:

• Base Salary: $50,000 - $70,000 per year
• Bonus: Performance-based bonuses available
• Benefits: Health, dental, retirement plans, and paid time off
