Job Description

We are looking for a motivated C Software Engineer to join our team on a long-term contract basis, supporting a federal client. This role offers a hybrid work environment based in Merrifield, VA, with 3 days a week work-from-home (after the orientation period). You'll earn $57/HR (1099) or $52/HR ($110K W2), along with benefits and PTO. There's also potential to convert to full-time employment after 6 months.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain and support postal automation control software.
Manage software configurations and support ongoing development.
Work with Eclipse-like IDEs, GNU compiler, debugging tools, and Git for version control.
Contribute to additional development projects using C++, C#, and Python.

Who You Are:

A software engineer with 2+ years of experience in C development.
Knowledge of UNIX-like real-time operating systems is a plus.
You're comfortable using development tools like Eclipse, GNU, and Git.
Experience with C++, C#, and Python is a bonus.

Additional Requirements:

Must be a U.S. Citizen, Green Card holder, or Green Card EAD holder, due to government clearance requirements.
Candidates must have lived in the U.S. for the last 5 years and not have spent more than 90 consecutive days or 180 cumulative days outside the U.S. during this time.
Flexibility to travel for software installations, testing, and meetings with vendors as needed.
