About ARC®
ChargeItSpot’s flagship product, ARC, is an intelligent device management system
designed to secure, track, and charge company-owned handheld devices that
employees use to do their jobs (e.g. package scan, inventory check, mPOS, etc.). ARC
exists to reduce the number of missing devices, recover lost productivity, and eliminate
wasted payroll consumed by managers and associates.

About the Role
ChargeItSpot is seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our team and lead the
development of robust data structures to support our evolving analytics and reporting
needs. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of database design
principles, business objectives, and advanced analytics techniques. They will
collaborate closely with stakeholders to analyze requirements, design scalable data
architectures, and implement solutions that drive value for the business.

Responsibilities
Analyze current data structures and workflows to identify inefficiencies and

opportunities for improvement.

• Design and implement optimized data models, schemas, and pipelines to

support advanced reporting and analytics.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business objectives and

translate them into actionable data requirements.

• Develop strategies for data governance, quality assurance, and security to

ensure compliance and reliability.

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to internal teams on best practices

for data management and architecture.

• Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously

enhance our data infrastructure and capabilities.

Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or

related field.

• Have 5+ years experience architecting and building large scale data platforms.

Experience architecting and building large-scale data platforms, including

data lakes and data marts.

• Proven experience as a Data Engineer or similar role, with a strong

background in database design and development.
Proficiency in SQL, data modeling tools, and ETL processes.

• Knowledge of reporting Looker, PowerBI, or similar tools.
• Knowledge with Google BigQuery or equivalent.

Familiarity with cloud platforms with GCP preferred.
Experience using big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).

• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with

stakeholders at all levels.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Experience with event-driven architecture and streaming data processing

frameworks like Kafka, Spark, Flink is a plus.
Knowledge of Postgres is a plus.

Location
We are headquartered in Philadelphia, PA, but have moved to an office-optional work
environment – so long as the successful candidate works on East Coast business
hours. Hybrid candidates preferred, remote candidates will be considered. You must be
authorized to work in the United States.
