Job Description

Design, implement, automate, and maintain the software delivery infrastructure and processes with their team. Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve code, system, or configuration errors in testing and production environments. Level I engineers will work with their team to setup CI/CD pipelines for new applications and services. Additionally they will learn the DevOps practices and how to implement them into our processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Collaborating with Dev and QA teams to create brand new CI/CD pipelines for new services and applications, ensure pipelines adhere to Paycom and auditing standards.
Working with IT, Dev, QA, and other Deployment Engineers to resolve code, system, and configuration outages in the testing environments
Work with a team of Deployment Engineers to release code to the production environments on a weekly and daily basis.
Working on process improvement and automation projects with other Deployment Engineers
Completing change requests to the software delivery infrastructure
Working with IT and QA on setting up new servers, installing new applications, and creating monitoring and observability feedback loops.
Respond to afterhours requests and alerts from our monitoring system

Education/Certification:

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, MIS or related degree

Experience:

1 year experience with SQL
1 year experience with a scripting language or 1 year with programming language
1 year experience with Windows operating system

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Certification:

Masters Degree in Computer Science, MIS or related degree

Experience:

1 year experience with DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, Cloud Engineering
1 year of GIT
1 year of scripting in Python, PowerShell, or Bash
1 year experience with C# or PHP
1 year of creating pipelines in CI/CD tools

Skills/Abilities:

Strong written and verbal communication skills
