• Production usually begins around 6:30 am until noon, typically 4-5 days a week. Expertise and knowledge of fashion trends and how finished garments should look is a plus. Pressers accurately but efficiently iron and press by machine or hand using steam and vacuum.
• The clothes Presser is responsible for finishing laundered/Dry Cleaned garments in a timely manner, according to established quality standards.
• Operate steam, air, electric pressing machines to remove wrinkles from garments and flatwork items, or to shape and form articles to company standards.
• Understand the basics of garment construction.
• Understand the Lot System of processing dry cleaning.
• Understand how to properly sort colors.
• Must be able to load, unload and operate commercial washing machines.
• Be able to recognize common spots and stains.
