Gatsby Glass is a leading glass solutions franchise renowned for sophisticated and high-quality services in Salt Lake City. We specialize in a variety of glass installations including shower doors, enclosures, railings, mirrors, countertops, and more.

Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Glazier/Glass Installer to join our team. This position involves providing high-quality installation services and customer support, interpreting blueprints and CAD drawings, and maintaining a well-stocked inventory of equipment and tools. The ideal candidate will have experience in glass installation, be familiar with local/national codes, and possess strong technical skills.

Responsibilities:

• Provide reliable, high-quality customer support and consultation while on the job site.
• Perform installations, upgrades, and additions for glass shower doors, enclosures, railings, mirrors, countertops, and other projects.
• Install metal framework and hardware.
• Read and interpret blueprints and CAD drawings.
• Maintain necessary truck stock/inventory with the warehouse team.
• Organize and utilize technical resources, materials, and support for efficient task execution.
• Monitor and ensure progress and completion of tasks.
• Complete and submit all task-related activities, productivity, and documentation timely.
• Demonstrate a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• Undertake additional projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3-5 years of prior working experience in the glass industry, preferably with shower installations.
• Working knowledge of glass installation equipment and all grades of glass.
• Familiarity with local/national codes.
• Ability to read and install according to drawings/instructions.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to clear pre-employment screening.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Specific product certifications/licenses as required by national, state, and local codes.
• 25% to 50% proficiency in product offerings.
• Vocational/Technical degree in a relevant field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in construction or custom glass, metal framework, and hardware industry is a plus.
• Experience with commercial installation services

Physical Requirements:

• Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, twist, use hands, reach, push, pull, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, and hear.
• Must have good vision abilities (close, distance, peripheral, depth, color).
• Ability to lift, move, and hold up to approximately 50 lbs.
• Full-time, flexible schedule with on-call availability.
• Able to travel on short notice and drive for extended periods.
