As a Special Education Teacher, you will be responsible for providing tailored support to students in kindergarten through 5th grade, ensuring their individual learning needs are met in a nurturing and inclusive environment. Key Responsibilities:

Manage a caseload of students with mild to moderate disabilities, ensuring personalized learning plans are in place to meet their needs.
Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) to support academic success.
Collaborate with other teachers, staff, and families to ensure students' needs are being met.
Provide direct instruction and support in a variety of academic areas.
Monitor and track student progress, adjusting teaching strategies as necessary.
Foster an inclusive, positive, and engaging classroom environment.

Work Hours:

Full-Time: 37.5 hours per week
Part-Time: Flexible hours to accommodate your schedule

Requirements:

Valid Maryland Special Education Teacher Licensure
Elementary Certification (K-5th Grade)
Strong commitment to student growth and success
Experience with mild-moderate diagnoses is preferred
