Salary: $90,000 - $135,000 per year

Aids in the design and development of electrical systems, and redesign of existing electrical systems to fulfill the needs of customers. Responsibilities also include providing equipment functionality and capability reports to the sales force and acting as technical liaison to the sales team. Individual must be highly skilled in troubleshooting and design of automation with PLC & HMI control systems involving ladder logic, structured text, function block programming, and various types of PLC & PC networking. Minimal overnight travel other than attending vendor trainings, there is some day travel within a few hours’ drive of the office to visit customer sites.
Job Details Role is located in Baton Rouge, LA
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Program PLC, HMI, VFD, Servo, Vision, Robots, Safety, and other systems.
Familiarize with UL508A standards and become Manufacturer Technical Representative in UL508A.
Draw 2-D schematics for Electrical systems using AutoCAD.
Answer general electrical related technical support calls from customers and inside/outside sales teams.
Provide start-up assistance and on-site technical assistance to customers and salesmen.
Cross-reference competitive products to those of represented manufacturers.
Create Bill of Materials for projects in Excel and price jobs for customer quotations through P21.
Enter quotes, orders, and production orders into P21 to process through the shop.
Source, price, and purchase product for projects while working with new and existing vendors.
Work with shop foreman and assemblers as needed to complete projects to customer's specifications.
Log and maintain files and data on projects and catalog library in engineering and AHP server.
Design 80/20 assemblies using AutoQuoterX (AutoCAD).
Conduct on-site product trainings for customers.
