A reputable law firm is seeking an experienced Private Equity Attorney to join their team. This role requires a seasoned professional with expertise in private equity and mergers and acquisitions, who is ready to take on leadership responsibilities in a dynamic, team-oriented environment. The ideal candidate will provide key support to private equity fund and portfolio company clients, delivering strategic business and legal advice. Duties: Draft and negotiate purchase and merger agreements, LLC and LP agreements, and other transaction-related documents. Manage private equity fund clients and their portfolio companies' day-to-day legal needs. Collaborate closely with business teams to provide strategic legal and business advice. Lead or support mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. Provide leadership and mentorship to junior attorneys and staff. Requirements: 4-5 years of private equity and mergers and acquisitions experience. Strong expertise in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating legal documents. Ability to work independently and within a team-oriented, fast-paced environment. Strong business acumen and strategic thinking. Education: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Excellent academic credentials. Certifications: Active membership in the Bar in good standing, preferably in Massachusetts. Skills: Exceptional writing, drafting, and analytical abilities. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Strong business and strategic judgment.
