Job Description

The Safety Manager is responsible for overseeing Winward Electrical Services' Safety, Health, and Environmental Program. This role ensures compliance with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) guidelines, promoting a culture of safety and adherence to regulatory standards across all company levels.

What You Will Do:

• Promote integrity, honesty, and ethical conduct across the Company.
• Develop and maintain the company safety program, ensuring compliance.
• Implement and monitor safe and environmentally compliant work practices.
• Identify and act on opportunities to improve safety performance.
• Inspect machinery and equipment to ensure OSHA and customer compliance.
• Observe workers to ensure safe operating conditions and proper use of safety equipment and PPE.
• Conduct jobsite assessments and audits in collaboration with supervisors.
• Provide training to employees and conduct safety meetings.
• Investigate accidents/incidents and facilitate root cause analysis.
• Maintain OSHA logs, required documents, and environmental reports.
• All other duties as assigned.

What You Will Bring:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business or a related field.
• 5-7 years of relevant experience, or a combination of education, experience, and training.
• Safety certifications/training such as OSHA 30, first aid, etc.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
• Exceptional time-management, planning, and administrative skills.
• High level of diplomacy, sound judgment, and discretion.
• High degree of energy, self-motivation, and flexibility.
• Strong work ethic with a professional, positive attitude.
• Commitment to achieving the organization's goals and objectives.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively under pressure.

What You Will Experience:

Work is performed both in an office environment and on construction sites. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:

• Sit for periods of time; use computer to enter data; use telephone to converse with customers and employees; physically walk on job sites.
• The employee is regularly required to: perform repetitive wrist, hand and/or finger movement, feel the attributes of objects, grasp, push, and reach with arms or hands.
• Must be able to occasionally move objects of 50 lbs.
