Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our dynamic team at Ocean Wide Repair LLC. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing welding tasks on a variety of materials and structures, ensuring that all work meets safety and quality standards. This role is critical in supporting our operations and delivering exceptional service to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform welding operations on steel, aluminum, and other materials as required for various projects.
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine the appropriate welding methods.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Conduct quality inspections of welds and finished products, making adjustments as necessary.
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to discuss project requirements and timelines.
- Maintain welding equipment and tools, troubleshooting any issues that arise.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, particularly those related to health and safety.
- Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge in welding techniques.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in welding is preferred.
- Proven experience as a welder, ideally in a marine or industrial environment.
- Proficiency in various welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and stick welding.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Physical stamina and strength to perform welding tasks in various conditions.
- Valid welding certification is a plus.
